The Advanced Studies Course will elevate homeopaths to higher standards of achievement and produce mature, confident practitioners who will play leading roles in the future of homeopathy as authors, teachers, researchers and administrators. Advanced Studies in Homeopathy offers a multifaceted approach designed to develop the creativity of the student. Many British Institute graduates who have completed this advanced curriculum are now conducting research programs, have written books and are recognized as leading lecturers as well as running successful practices. The course consists of 29 written lessons with two proctored mid term examinations, a final exam and an optional graduate-level thesis.  There are also practical lesson for which supplies will be required.

Course consists of 9 lessons, one exam and 4 submitted cases with two follow ups each.

This course provides an in-depth study of all necessary skills and tools to take, analyze and manage cases for an eventual practice. It is essential for anyone planning to practice professionally.

Syllabus:

Definition of disease in homeopathy, symptoms, elements of case taking, different ways of approaching a case, concept of miasms, examining patients/clients, etiology, drainage, bowel nosodes, constitutional remedies, structure and logic of Kent’s repertory, evaluating repertorization, repertories and how to use them, computerized repertorization, translating symptoms into rubrics, repertory exercises, analyzing actual cases, analyzing patient’s reactions, study methods of remedies, writing up case presentations, guidelines for setting up practice and much, much, more.

This is the initial required course for the Professional Practitioner Program, which offers the concepts and doctrines of classical Homeopathy according to Samuel Hahnemann.  This foundational course consists of 30 lessons, lesson quizzes, and three examinations.  Topics  include: History, Development, Philosophy and Principles, Introduction to Materia Medica, Homeopathic Pharmacy, Homeopathic Treatment of Common Ailments; Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology; Modalities; Theory of Miasms; Pathology; Potencies in Prescribing; Nosodes, Isodes and Sarcodes; Introduction to Case Taking and Repertorization; Homeopathic Theraputics; Biotherapies; Case Studies; Research in Homeopathy; Computerized Homeopathy; Acute and Chronic Diseases; Constitutional Prescribing.
